‘Surround’ Footwear Platform From Gore — When W. L. Gore & Associates launches a new footwear technology brands pay attention. This year, 25 footwear brands took note of the company’s GORE–TEX Surround, a waterproof shoe design platform that adds breathability to the sole with a woven polyester mesh insole spacer and other features.
Look to La Sportiva, Mammut, Salewa, Scarpa, Treksta, Zamberlan, and other brands in 2015 for the “surround” experience.
