Most of the final decisions related to a folder are basically preferences. Blade size is dictated by legal requirements and use. I prefer small blades, but others like big ones. Handle materials are all preference, as only metal handles are significantly heavier.
If you’re choosing between G10, carbon fiber, and Micarta, you’re fine. The style and positioning of a pocket clip is generally a preference, too. Don’t worry about the utterly stupid tip up versus tip down controversy. If you have all of these decisions made and know what blade steel you want, you’re set.
