LaCrosse designed the Navigator Series boots to help hunters go farther and harder.

The brand is known for rubber footwear, and the new Navigator Series — featuring the Atlas and Windrose — combines that expertise with the comfort and versatility of leather. LaCrosse claims these new lace-up hunting boots offer more comfort, stability, and durability in the field.

“This collection is built for adventure and ultimately for the men and women pushing their limits in the field,” said Chris Currah, product line manager for LaCrosse Hunt.

LaCrosse Atlas Hunting Boot

LaCrosse designed the Atlas for hunters wanting to go farther in all conditions, from wet to dry to cold. And as any seasoned hunter knows, it’s easy to find all these conditions in one hunt.

Plus, the Oregon brand built its own sticky rubber compound, LaCrosse Grip (LXG), to provide traction in both wet and dry terrain. Paired with specially designed InfiniTrac lugs, the brand aims to provide better traction in a range of environments.

Inside each Atlas boot, a Dry-Core waterproof lining works to keep wet weather out. And a PrimaLoft option provides insulation on cold days.

On the outside, these boots feature a molded rubber toe cap intended to add extra protection up front, along with a DuraFit molded rubber heel cup aimed at adding stability on uneven terrain. LaCrosse offers the Atlas in men’s sizes only.

LaCrosse Windrose Hunting Boot

The Windrose shares many of the features found on the Atlas — like the waterproof Dry-Core lining. But LaCrosse shaved some of the weight and built it with an eye toward providing a more athletic feel underfoot.

Where the Atlas utilizes PrimaLoft insulation, the Windrose uses a lighter Thinsulate Ultra insulation. And brand opted to go with a standard EVA foam midsole on the Windrose, versus the weightier and more durable rubberized version on the Atlas.

Additionally, the Windrose offers both men’s and women’s models — although the 1,000g version is available in men’s only.
