Batsquatch, the Loveland Frogman, and something called a Snallygaster — if you’re looking for spine-chilling tales from the outdoors, this collab podcast from REI and YETI is just the ticket.
Looking for some campfire fodder, a story to tell when the sun goes down and shadows dance eerily around your campsite — teasing the darker parts of your imagination? A good scary story can turn an ordinary overnight camp adventure into a long-lasting memory you retell again and again.
And if you need some of those stories for your own quiver, check out the all-new season of “Camp Monsters.” A joint production from REI Co-op Studios and YETI, the “Camp Monsters” podcast features a different tale of creature lore with each episode. Complete with crackling fire sounds in the background, these stories are plenty scary, but not too graphic or gory, so families can listen together.

The first episode of Season 2, “The Dark Watcher,” launched this week. New episodes will drop every Wednesday through October 28.
Each tale explores a different “impossible creature” from lore and eyewitness accounts across the U.S. Are they true stories? Well, like any good ghost story, that’s up to you to decide.
Season 2 will share spine-tinglers like a subterranean beast beneath New York City, the “Hidebehind,” and more. And for even more scares, you can dive into all eight episodes from Season 1 and a handful of other “mini-monster” short episodes.
