Obsessive thru-hiker Scott Williamson is about to finish his 2nd “Yo Yo” of the Pacific Crest Trail. In 2004, Williamson was the first person to accomplish the “Yo Yo” feat, which entails hiking 5,300 miles from Mexico to Canada, and then all the way back again.
It took Williamson 203 days the first time.
But this summer he set out to beat his own record, and as of Nov. 17 he is about 11 days from making this happen. His estimated time of arrival at the boarder is around November 28, 2006.
As of Nov. 17 Williamson was near Cajon Pass, Calif., which is about 342 miles north of the Mexican boarder.
While on the trail, Williamson is filming a documentary titled, “Tell it on the Mountain.” More info and a trailer is at www.tellitonthemountain.com
