Ski season is here, the resorts are opening, and if you haven’t bought a season pass yet, your time is running out — at least, for the Epic Pass. Vail Resorts announced today that the Epic Pass will be pulled from sale on December 4, 2025. That leaves any prospective (procrastinator) buyers just 17 days to pull the trigger before 2025/26 season passes get more expensive.

So far, among Vail’s resort family, Vail, Keystone, and Breckenridge have already opened their slopes. Park City is projected to open on November 21, and both Beaver Creek and Crested Butte on Nov. 23.

Before long, the entire Vail Resorts collection of mountains will be open for shredding. If you don’t already have an Epic Pass, act fast if you plan on skiing them this winter.

If you haven’t bought your full Epic Pass yet, you will be paying a premium for it. The pass has been steadily increasing in price as the kickoff to ski season has grown closer. Now at $1,121 for the full adult Epic Pass and $833 for the Epic Local Pass, they are as expensive as they’re going to get. You can check Vail’s menu of pass options and their prices here.

With day passes at Vail pushing $250 on weekends, a season pass is still worth the purchase if you plan to ski more than five days this season. Additionally, Vail Resorts introduced Epic Friends Tickets this year, which grants Epic, Epic Local, or Epic Military Pass holders a 50% discount on 6-10 day passes for their friends.

You can also check out the Ikon Pass, which, as of this writing, isn’t pulling sales for season passes — yet. The full Ikon is $1,519, and the Ikon Base is $1,099. Ikon has yet to announce a specific date when it will stop pass sales for 2025, but it’s usually sometime in early December.

There is also the Mountain Collective Pass, which gives holders 2 days at each of 27 small mountain destinations around the world ($729). The Indy Ski Pass is a third option that similarly offers 2 days at each of over 270 resorts. The full Indy+ Pass is $469, and the Indy Base Pass is $349. However, there is currently a waitlist for hopeful Indy Pass buyers.

If you’re interested in getting your Epic Pass before the opportunity is gone, visit the Vail Resorts website and purchase your pass before Dec. 4.
