The Alps Are Melting: Mammut Rallies Us #TogetherForGlaciers

Climate change is real. The Alps are melting. Mammut is doing something about it.

As a Swiss brand born in the mountains (back in 1862), Mammut “seeks to preserve the beauty of mountain landscapes,” the brand told GearJunkie.

What better way to do that than advocating for the glaciers and other alpine landscapes in jeopardy and melting away due to climate change?

Mammut said it well:

The Alps near Mammut’s headquarters in Switzerland are experiencing one of the highest rates of melt globally. As mountain enthusiasts, we see these changes in real time. To slow this trend, we must answer with unprecedented action — and we must do it together.

In this short film, three Swiss Alps locals — an artist, a hut keeper, and an alpinist — tell their stories, and why these landscapes deserve our attention and protection.
