Today, Salomon launched The WURL — its first all-female episode of Salomon TV.

The Wasatch Ultimate Ridge Linkup (WURL) is a litmus test for trail runners in the summer, but it’s never been done in the winter. Until now. The film features freeskiers Mali Noyes and Lani Bruntz as they take on fresh snow on the Wasatch peaks of Utah.

In the WURL, the female duo completes a continuous traverse of the linkup on skis — adding up to 58 km (more than 36 miles) of ski touring. Looking for women-led ski inspiration? Watch the new Salomon film here.

Now, this isn’t the only all-female ski film out there. Lynsey Dyer led the movement with a Kickstarted girl-power ski film back in 2014. Then there’s the satirical ski film “Dream Job,” which was both female-starred and female-directed. And, of course, the MountainFilm Festival award-winning “Originate” ski film, starring Michelle Parker, was released this spring.

But they are still few and far between, so it’s awesome to see Salomon contributing to the lineup this season.
