Sunday Afternoons Solstice Visor ($25) — This visor has quickly become one of my traveling staples. In our wedding vows, Jason, my husband, promised to always wear sunscreen, as he often forgot and would get badly sunburnt on a number of our early adventures. I try hard to help him out on his side of the bargain by always keeping sunscreen handy. However, sometimes even I am guilty of not reapplying sunscreen (this hat helps in those times).

The Sunday Afternoons Solstice Visor is an awesome little piece that has saved our skin numerous times. It is waterproof, breathable, light weight and comfortable. What makes this piece so travel friendly is its ability to fold in half and keep its shape. And another favorite feature of mine is two little slits on either side of the brim that hold my sunglasses when I am not needing them — they stay put on my runs and even when I am upside down climbing!

Uses: Running, hanging out, hiking, biking, exploring
