The South Jordan, Utah, store posted a video of the incident on Facebook this weekend in hopes of catching the thief.
A thief smashed through a Utah storefront on Saturday with a pickup truck, then left with five new bicycles, video of the incident shows.
The shop, Hanger 15 Bicycles, posted a video of the theft on its Facebook page. The break-in occurred at the South Jordan location at about 3:15 a.m., local news reported.
Surveillance cameras show a pickup truck — likely a black Ford F-250 or F-350 — slowly driving past before the driver turns around and faces the store entrance. One person gets out, looks through the glass, then gets behind the wheel and rams through the glass storefront.
Hanger 15 found the bike thief left with five Specialized Levo e-bikes, totaling about $50,000 in value. In the footage, the thief throws them in the truck bed and races off with the truck still covered in bits of glass.
Three of the bikes are black, one is sage green, and one is orange, the shop said. Their serial numbers are 888818726929, 888818728046, 888818755493, BS2221213153, 888818728404, the store manager told Fox News.
Damages to the building and other bikes may cost Hanger 15 Bicycles another $60,000, the business wrote on Facebook. It’s the company’s third break-in this year.
