You may already be familiar with SAXX underwear, but did you know that the brand also offers 2-in-1 lined fitness shorts? Better yet, they’re now available at REI.
The SAXX Pilot 2N1 and Kinetic 2N1 shorts have the same BallPark Pouch technology as the brand’s bestselling underwear. While both shorts make sure your boys are fully secured, they differ in the type of liner and shell fabric they use, so that you feel supported no matter what activity you use them for.
If you’re already familiar with SAXX and its shorts, you can now buy your next pair with the bonus of dividend rewards as an REI member. If you’ve seen the shorts online but wanted to check them out in person, that should be easier now that they’re in select REI stores around the country.
Here’s a quick rundown on both pairs of SAXX’s athletic shorts.
It Started With ‘Life-Changing’ Underwear
The mesh side panels of the pouch keep your man parts in place to give you some room between your legs. Added to this are the brand’s Three-D Fit and Flat Out Seams tech to prevent chafing to take your comfort to the next level.
After SAXX learned people were wearing the BallPark underwear beneath running and workout shorts, the brand decided to build them into one garment — hence the “2N1” name.
SAXX Kinetic Sport 2N1 Shorts
Designed with the all-around athlete in mind, these were the brand’s first take on 2-in-1 shorts. The breathable Kinetic liner has a semi-compression fit to keep you supported from weight room sessions to aerobic workouts. Complete with hand pockets, these shorts can easily transition from the gym floor to running errands.
The hand pockets let you easily carry a few things in and out of the gym or out on errands. And you can stash a key in the internal zip pocket when it’s time to pare down for a workout.
In the Kinetic Sport shorts, the built-in liner comes equipped with the BallPark Pouch, Flat Out Seams, and Three-D Fit. These have a 7-inch inseam and retail for $75.
SAXX Pilot 2N1 Short
Built from a lighter, stretch-woven shell than the Kinetic Sport, SAXX built the Pilot 2N1 shorts for someone on the trail, track, or treadmill. The Pilot shorts feature a quick-dry liner, a hidden stash pocket incorporated into the leg of the liner, and a “bounce-free” back pocket for your valuables. The Pilot short uses SAXX’s award-winning Quest underwear as the liner and is equipped with the BallPark Pouch, Flat Out Seams, and Three-D Fit.
SAXX designed its underwear with everyday comfort in mind, and its mission is to continually “challenge discomfort.” That same philosophy carried over to its 2N1 fitness shorts. Arguably, that’s when the support and separation aspects are even more important.
Whether you’re running outdoors or training at the gym, SAXX’s lined shorts offer breathable support you can count on.
Pro tip: The brand is based in Canada, so you may need to size down (check sizing charts).
