Death, taxes, and Columbia x Star Wars collaborations — they’re pretty much the only certainties in life.
Since 2016, the mystical worlds of Tatooine, Hoth, and Dagobah have felt a little more real thanks to the designers at Columbia. The outdoor apparel giant brought Star Wars fans’ dreams to life with parkas, hoodies, infant onesies, and more — all directly inspired by the mega-hit movie franchise.
And today, the legend continues, this time with a comic twist. The Outer Rim Collection strays from the live-action film designs and instead leans into the splashy graphics of Star Wars comics.
Three Cantina II Super Tamiami Shirts — women’s, men’s, and kids’ — cater to summer days in the sun, with an eye toward lake life. Cleverly hidden within scenes of Chewbacca, R2D2, and Han Solo are sportfish silhouettes.
Not surprisingly, the styles fall in Columbia’s PFG (performance fishing gear) line. The Outer Rim Collection uses 100% recycled fabric and has back vents as well as UPF 40 Omni-WIck Dry sun-protective construction.
And anglers will appreciate dual chest pockets and a built-in rod-holder.
Columbia’s Outer Rim Collection goes on sale for $45-75 this Friday, July 29.
