Yes, you read that right. Purchase anything from Ripton & Co. before December 12 and you could win a full-on VW Westfalia Van.

Some brands raffle off swag like beanies, trucker hats, and gaiters. Some will even give away ski passes or mountain bikes. But apparently, when Ripton & Co. does a giveaway, they go big.

Between now and December 12, the up-and-coming jort company is giving its customers and fans an opportunity to win a prize that raises the giveaway bar. It’s offering a chance to win a fully loaded, four-speed manual transmission VW Bus.

Anyone who buys a Ripton product will be entered to win the van. And this isn’t just any van, mind you. This is “Bugsie,” and it’s a piece of Ripton history.

The founders of Ripton purchased this campervan in 2011 and have spent countless days and nights traveling the country. With the van, they’ve gone to bike races, ski resorts, and have even slept in it behind their place of work.

It’s a well-loved campervan laden with a lot of memories, and it’s ready to make many more. The founders are hoping it will find a new home with someone who will love, appreciate, and use the van as much as they did.

“If Steve Jobs sold his VW van to start Apple, Ripton, the brand of the people, the brand of the jortbag, should give ours away,” Ripton wrote, announcing this giveaway. “Volkswagen actually means ‘the people’s car’ in German and Riptons are, after all, the people’s jorts. And hopefully it goes to someone who wouldn’t really be able to afford it otherwise, and they can experience all of the upsides with none of the heartaches.”

Bugsie has a new engine, new transmission, new body, and a fresh coat of paint (not pictured). It’s looking good and running even better. In short: Bugsie’s adventure-ready for its lucky winning owner/s. Its current value, according to the brand, is $18,000.

This isn’t the first time Ripton has given away a radical motor vehicle. Last summer it offered a similar giveaway, where anyone who bought a product was entered to win a baby blue Wolf Islander scooter (valued at $1,600).

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: When Ripton & Co. does a giveaway, it goes big.

If you haven’t tried Ripton’s denim yet, now through December 12 is a good time to get your hands on some because you might drive away in a slick new adventure van.

Don’t want to buy anything? You can also enter once without a purchase via the Ripton email portal.
