Kylie Collins is the Development, Marketing, and Communications Manager for Crested Butte Nordic. Prior to that, she was an elementary classroom teacher for ten years.
Collins grew up on the East Coast. She attended Bard College, where she ran cross country, climbed her way through the Gunks, and moonlighted as Ski Patroller. After heading west, she found her way into a career in the classroom in two small mountain towns as a first and fourth-grade teacher. Collins spent ten years teaching writing, reading, and a love for the outdoors to the littles. She is now merging her passion for the Crested Butte Community, the outdoors, and communications in her work at CB Nordic.
Collins has been gear testing and reviewing since 2021. She primarily works with trail running and camping equipment. She believes in honest reviews and putting her gear through the wringer.
Today, Collins lives with her husband and two Australian Shepherds in Almont, CO. She enjoys trail running, pack rafting, fly fishing, and testing baked goods. In her spare time, she is the Co-Course Director for the High Lonesome 100. She is always on the hunt for a good backyard trail race and a cold alpine lake.

A Word From Kylie Collins
I have held many titles in my career, but I believe that genuine and straightforward communication has been at the center of it all. As a gear tester, I have the privilege of merging my skills learned as a classroom teacher and communications manager with my love for all things outdoors.
I am honored to bring honest and meaningful reviews to like-minded outdoors people looking to have an adventure in the mountains or on the river.
