There’s a new kid on the block… sort of. SITKA, manufacturer of premium hunting goods, made a big splash by launching a new product line: SITKA Fish. It promises to bring the same high level of performance to the water that hunters have relied on in the field for many decades.
The reasoning is simple. Almost every hunter is an angler as well. SITKA is already familiar with the customer base and certainly has experience making quality gear that can withstand the elements.
“Fishing is more than a hobby for our customers — it is part of how they live,” said Matt Carara, Product Line Manager at SITKA Gear. “With SITKA Fish, we’re delivering gear that removes barriers to the pursuit of fishing, so anglers can focus on connecting with the fish, the environment, and the people around them.”
What Gear Is Included in SITKA Fish?

SITKA covered the bases for all anglers. Whether you’re a bass nut, fly angler, or a saltwater diehard, there’s something in the lineup for you. Here are the pieces so far:
Cat-5 Jacket and Bib: A technical rain and wind system featuring a jacket and bib (Jacket $500, Bib $500). The pieces are built using GORE-TEX with Stretch technology, delivering guaranteed waterproof protection without sacrificing mobility for casting, netting, and all-day wear.
Cross Current Waders: A complete wading solution featuring zip and non-zip stockingfoot waders ($800-1,000) built with four-layer GORE-TEX PRO construction.
Cross Current Wading Boots: Wading boots ($299 Rubber, $249 Felt) that solve pain points. Most notably, durability through wet/dry cycles, replaceable traction systems, and quick-drying materials.
Guard Sun Hoodie ($99) and Guard Long Sleeve Shirt ($129): Lightweight, warm-weather fishing essentials that deliver integrated UPF 50+ sun protection and Insect Shield treatment.
How Does It Stack Up? We’re Currently Testing

GearJunkie contributors have been testing the new gear for the last few months. Early feedback is good. It’s what you’d expect from SITKA — solid, dependable gear. However, testing isn’t complete just yet. Keep an eye out for future reviews of the Cross Current Waders, Cat-5 set, and Guard Sun Shirts.
