For David Chang, motorcycles are more than a way to get from point A to point B. They’re freedom on two wheels. Chang started Café Racers of Instagram (CROIG) as a creative outlet when his corporate job wasn’t filling his cup.
What started as a passion for custom motorcycles grew into a massive community of like-minded motorcycle lovers, and soon Chang swapped the corporate ladder for life on the road and in the garage. “When I started meeting people in the CROIG community, it was a catalyst for going all-in,” says Chang.
But the real engine behind his journey? Purpose.

“I wanted to figure out how to help people using this community I fostered,” Chang says. That’s how Built for Good was born. Through this CROIG-affiliated nonprofit, Chang raffles off motorcycles to fund a cause that’s close to his heart — clean water access.
“Water is a universal need,” says Chang, “but a quarter of us on this planet don’t have access to clean drinking water. That’s a tragedy.” Every winning ride helps Built for Good supply Sawyer water filters to communities without access to clean water.
Whether he’s connecting with the CROIG community online or providing hands-on support for clean water initiatives, Chang’s hope is simple: to inspire others to choose a life of motion, creativity, and service. Watch the video to see how Chang built the Epic Occupation of his dreams.
