Ram Reveals 2 Heavy-Duty and Budget-Friendly Sport Trucks for 2026

Ram is looking to bring buyers a little magic with two special-edition HD trucks. The Warlock is aimed at off-roaders, while the Black Express gives budget-minded buyers a lot of style for little cash.

Ram is giving HD truck buyers on a budget some more options. The 2026 Ram 2500 HD will offer a pair of new trim levels that have been very popular on its 1500 series trucks. The two include the street-style Ram 2500 Black Express and the off-road-ready Ram 2500 Warlock.

Warlock Adds Some Key Off-Road Extras

If you’re reading this, you’re probably more interested in off-roading than style, so we’ll start with the 2026 Ram 2500 Warlock.

The Warlock starts as a Tradesman trim truck, the most basic of the Ram 2500 line. Its list of off-road features includes 34-inch Goodyear Duratrac all-terrain tires, a limited-slip rear differential, and Bilstein shocks tuned for off-road use.

Underbody skid plates are part of the package. So is hill descent control for making slow and steady declines.

There are plenty of cosmetic upgrades, like a black grille, flares, and bumpers, and a Warlock sticker on the bed. Plus, the 20-inch wheels that those all-terrain tires are mounted on are a lot bigger than the stock 17s and normally optional 18s.

The upgrade adds more color choices to the list, too. There are now eight shades available, including blue. The package adds $2,995 to the cost of a Tradesman, and it includes cloth seats and carpet instead of vinyl. That’s just a few hundred more than the Tradesman Level 1 equipment group, which does come with the limited-slip rear, but not most of the rest.

The 2026 Ram 2500 Black Express is an HD version of a similar 1500 series truck. Also based around the Tradesman trim, Black Express comes with a lot of paint, and not all of it is black.

For this one, Ram paints the bumpers and grille surround in the body color, and you can pick from the same eight shades as the Warlock. It comes with a “sport performance hood,” which adds some grilles and louvers. It also includes black cab-length tube steps to make the truck look a little meaner and a little lower. That attitude is capped off with 20-inch wheels with a black finish.

Limited Configurations, But Gas & Diesel Are Available

Ram is offering both trucks with either a 405-horsepower 6.4L Hemi V8 or the 6.7L Cummins diesel, which produces 1,075 pound-feet of torque. The Warlock comes only as a crew cab with a short bed and 4×4. The Black Express package works its magic on 4×2 and 4×4 trucks and long or short boxes, though it’s still crew cab only.

The 2026 Ram 2500 Warlock adds $2,995 on top of the Tradesman for an MSRP of $57,165, including destination. The Black Express is $2,495, letting you get in the truck for as little as $53,735.

Ram is now taking orders for the trucks. They’ll start arriving at dealers in the third quarter of this year.
