Energica gets one step closer to putting range anxiety to bed with an all-electric touring motorcycle built to charge fast and eat miles.
The Energica Experia combines the styling and handling of an Italian race bike with the comfort of a dedicated touring machine. The result is an all-electric ride capable of delivering 261 miles around town between charges.
The bike melds a high-capacity 22.5kWh battery with weight savings that spring from careful material use and design.

Quick Charge for Long Rides
We particularly like the charging time of 0-80% in 40 minutes with a Level 3/DC fast charger.
Energica designed the Experia from the ground up with an all-new frame, battery, and motor, resulting in a bike that provides the comfort of a tourer while significantly decreasing the weight. Energica also dialed in aerodynamics and weather protection via carefully implemented fairings. They even tossed in heated handlebar grips for comfort on long rides.

Designed With Distance in Mind
“We have focused on the real-world needs of motorcycle riders worldwide, creating an ex novo, state-of-the-art engineering platform,” said Giampiero Testoni, CTO of Energica Motor Company, in a press release.
“We melded high-tech electric mobility with the roaming spirit of the motorcycle traveler. The intention was to create the first electric motorcycle created specifically for long-distance bike lovers.”
That focus on distance also shows up in the Experia’s storage options, which include two hard-sided panniers and a top case. All told, the Experia offers 112 L of protected storage. Energica expects to add more features in the future.
