Ford Truck Converted To Outrageous 'Snowmobile'

We’re not sure how to feel about this video. On one hand, this Ford F-150 RaptorTRAX outfitted with Mattracks is one badass, very cool piece of technological gear. The way it rips along the ridges and through deep powder at Nelson, British Columbia’s Baldface Lodge is really incredible and looks like a heck of a lot of fun. It is a snowmobile on steroids and we want one.

On the other hand, it looks like a potential ecological nightmare, has got to be incredibly loud and is the exact opposite of earning your turns.

But love it or hate it, this video shows some wicked cool snowboarding and one of the more rugged machines a civilian can buy.

As one GearJunkie editor remarked, “it’s pretty insane that thing exists.”

Ken Block, a professional rally car driver, puts the truck through its paces as snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss throw some mind-bending gaps in this video by Monster Energy.
