Dylan Stark hit the big time late in life, when he transitioned from BMX to MTB and landed on the Red Bull Rampage lineup.
But he never lost touch with his dirtbag roots. Exhibit A: This 2022 “mixtape,” which follows the Southern Californian from shopping mall rooftops to stair sets to the desert, for some old-school trick riding that can make anyone’s inner Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX teenage sensibilities beam.
Of course, Stark hung up the BMX a while ago to commit to the mountain bike full time. Transposed onto the world that a suspended bike can unlock, the tricks Stark pulls now resemble video game shenanigans.
