Jennifer Garner, David Tennant, and Juliette Lewis star in ‘Camping.’ The show points towards the outdoors’ emergence into the mainstream.
A not-so-happy married couple, uninvited guests, and an overzealous control freak all play part in HBO’s latest show, “Camping.” The cast and plot have the makings of any old sitcom, but these actors have to deal with the outdoors and all the uncertainty nature brings with it.
“Camping” premiered this month on HBO with eight episodes running 30 minutes each. The episodes feature dramatic relationships between characters all set in Brown Bear Lake, a campground.
Jenni Konner and Lena Dunham created the series and serve as executive producers. The show is based on the U.K. series of the same name, which aired in 2016.
Premise: Camping Show on HBO
The show follows Walt’s (David Tennant) 45th birthday party in the outdoors. Walt’s wife, Kathryn (Jennifer Garner) plans the party and, naturally, it all goes wrong.
“The weekend sparks heightened emotions, latent tensions (sexual and otherwise) and memories they’d rather forget,” HBO issued in a press release.
