This past week, Merrell launched its Walk & Talk hotline to help connect people with nature for the duration of June (Great Outdoors Month).
Need a breather? Looking to get more in touch with nature? Want to try something new? For all of June, you can check out Merrell’s ‘Walk & Talk’ hotline. Courtesy of the brand, the hotline is a way of “sharing the simple power of being outside with everyone.”
“As a brand, we’re committed to making the outdoors welcoming, approachable, and inclusive to all,” said Jenny Bernsteen, brand equity marketing manager at Merrell.
“Our goal with the Walk & Talk hotline is to provide a way that makes spending more time outdoors easier so more can see how the outdoors makes them happier, healthier, and more fulfilled.”
Here’s how it works.
Dial in for Hotline Bliss on Your Next Hike
You’ll dial a toll-free number to speak with a live outdoor representative that will accompany you for a walk. The hotline is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. EDT (10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CDT) and can be reached at (844) WALKTLK, or (844) 925-5855.
One of Merrell’s outdoor reps will answer, provide a fun prompt, and you can get to walking and enjoying the outdoors!
Here are some of the fun options you’ll hear once dialing in:
- Dial 1 for a guided meditation on walking mindfully
- Dial 2 to hear a dad joke (outdoor-themed)
- Dial 3 for a painstakingly detailed tutorial on how to properly apply sunscreen
- Dial 4 for some outdoor motivation
- Dial 5 to be transported to Aspen
The hotline chats run 10-15 minutes in length.
