The annual SEMA Show is coming up quickly, and Mopar just dropped some concept sketches in our lap. Mopar offered no more insight into what’s shown in the sketches, but we’re intrigued!
Mopar (the combination of “motor” and “parts”) is the OEM parts arm of Stellantis — RAM, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Chrysler, etc. It always comes to the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show with its latest and greatest vehicle upgrade parts. But Mopar doesn’t always tease them beforehand.
Today, Mopar released concept sketches in advance of the upcoming 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas (Nov. 2-5). The brand will showcase customized vehicles and hundreds of quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories in a 15,345-square-foot exhibit in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The five “concept sketches” in this article are what Mopar just dropped in our inbox. We can only make educated guesses as to what the sketches are showing us, but some are pretty exciting. There should be some cool trucks and Jeeps in the Mopar booth in a few weeks.
Mopar RAM TRX Parts
Two of the Mopar concept sketches show what look to be RAM TRX pickups.
The first (above) is a rear shot of a TRX with a bed rack and parked next to a ground tent. We’d wager that there will be a number of overland/car camping accessories for RAM trucks on offer from Mopar soon.
The second image is just a front end of a TRX kicking up some dust. The interesting part is the blue accents around the grille badge and the tow hooks. This color in the Jeep brand represents electrification, specifically 4xe models.
We’re not exactly sure what it means on a RAM truck, but maybe we’ll get a glimpse of some sort of electrification upgrade available for the TRX.
Mopar Jeep Wangler Parts
Two more of the Mopar concept sketches show Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator vehicles.
The most intriguing to us shows the interior of a Jeep Wrangler with a safari-style hardtop. Check out those little windows along the edges of the roof. It’s just like the old Series Land Rovers.
This style of roof offers more headroom and more light in the cabin. It also just looks super cool!
The other Jeep image is of the front end of a Wrangler Rubicon 4xe with a hood-mounted off-road driving light. It looks like a big powerful light, and we have little doubt that Mopar will be expanding its off-road lighting offerings.
Mopar Power Wagon Lighting Sketch
The final sketch is the most confounding, as it shows what looks to be an old Dodge Power Wagon ambulance/military transporter/search-and-rescue vehicle. Maybe Mopar is going to offer new LED lighting options for some of the old Dodge and RAM trucks.
Your guess is as good as ours, but we look forward to seeing what this concept sketch is all about, and all the cool new Mopar goodies at the 2021 SEMA Show. Stay tuned!
