Decisions, decisions! A 450-square-foot Manhattan apartment or an entire New Brunswick ski hill; which would you choose?

In a perfect example of how location means everything in real estate, you could purchase either one of these for the same low price of $900,000 Canadian dollars, or about $710,000 U.S.

The ski hill, named Mont Farlagne, has 22 runs, a 1,300-foot vertical drop, two chairlifts, a bar, restaurant, and pro shop. It sits on 306 acres overlooking the Madawaska River near the town of Edmundston.

Private powder days and no-wait lift lines — or a turnkey business — are within your reach!

Or, behind door number two is a New York City apartment. The studio one-bathroom home on East 37th Street in Manhattan comes tricked out with “stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, white cabinets with sparkling black granite countertops.”

A doorman and concierge come included to take care of your every need. “Nine-foot high, beamed ceilings add wonderful character” to the approximately 20′ by 24.5′ abode, the real estate company notes.

East 37th Street

You could fit approximately 27,000 of the apartments in the same space as the ski area. I’m guessing most of our readers would choose the resort.

The catch? The mountain is a nine-minute drive from the nearby town of Edmundston, which has a population of just 17,000 and presumably is short on celebrity sitings and Yankees games.

So bust out your checkbooks and start scribbling. Endless powder days or upscale living are at your fingertips.
