New Netflix Documentary ‘VOLCANO’ Chronicles 2019 Whakaari Eruption

Watch this minute-by-minute account of the dramatic, and ultimately tragic, eruption of a volcano off the coast of New Zealand in 2019.

There’s no force on Earth more primal and violent than a volcanic eruption. In 2019, a group of tourists on a small island near New Zealand witnessed that power firsthand, ultimately leading to 22 deaths.

Now, a new film from Netflix called “The Volcano: Rescue from Whakaari” chronicles the experience through the first-hand accounts of the people who were there.

The volcanic film premieres on December 16, but in the meantime, check out the dramatic trailer.
