More on the Prize Package
This prize package from Cascade Designs includes all of the essentials: a tent, sleeping bag and pad, stove, water filter, and a hand towel.
The MSR Hubba Hubba 2 Tent is the brand’s bestseller, and this latest update of the two-person tent won high praise in our review. Similarly, the MSR PocketRocket Deluxe was voted the best backpacking stove by our editors.
The Therm-a-Rest Parsec 20 sleeping bag’s 800-fill hydrophobic down insulation is rated to 20 degrees Fahrenheit and weighs 1 pound 12 ounces (size Regular). The brand’s NeoAir XLite NXT sleeping pad was redesigned with an internal construction to greatly reduce the crinkly noise when moving around on it. It has an R-value of 4.5.
Rounding things out, the Platypus Quickdraw Microfilter has a dual-thread design that works with smartwater and Nalgene bottles. The Ultralite PackTowl is made from absorbent and quick-drying fabric. For this giveaway, the brand is including the Body size towel, which weighs 3.4 ounces and measures 25 x 54 inches.

More on the Brand
Cascade Designs was born in Seattle more than 50 years ago with the introduction of the first self-inflating sleeping pad (a Therm-a-Rest). Cascade acts as the parent group for several brands that make specialized outdoor gear, as this prize package demonstrates. It continues to win accolades for its innovations in sleeping comfort, backpacking gear, and other staples.
Cascade Designs is still based in Seattle but has expanded its manufacturing and distribution to Reno, Nev., to serve the U.S. market. Additionally, it opened hubs in Midleton, Ireland, to meet European demand.
