Sitka’s new Ambient Collection is the brand’s best next step toward its ongoing evolution of a hardcore hunter’s layering system.
It’s not unusual to see something new from Sitka Gear with roots in the latest and greatest fabric technology. And the Ambient Collection is just that.
Utilizing PrimaLoft Evolve insulation, the Ambient collection takes your classic three-layer hunting jacket and stops it down to two layers. The Berber fleece-like material aims to mimic the way animal fur both retains and releases heat in movement.
And PrimaLoft doesn’t let users down on figuring out ways to keep insulating materials more sustainable, with Evolve holding 58-71% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content.
Sitka partnered this with a breathable, water-resistant shell, making for a versatile layering piece that can fill in on the shoulder seasons of spring and fall.
It offers the Ambient series in a jacket ($299) and hoodie ($279) option for men and one hooded jacket ($299) for women.
