High West Distillery will donate $1 for every game played this month.

Strictly speaking, you can play “Prairie Dash” completely sober. But the dexterity and focus necessary make it a lot more fun with an adult beverage in hand.

Like many online games for your mobile device, Prairie Dash is simple to learn, highly addictive, and an easy way to spend hours of your day being unproductive. Well, at least it would be if High West Distillery didn’t commit to donating $1 for every game played this month (up to $50,000) to the American Prairie Reserve, a nonprofit committed to creating a 3-million-acre protected habitat in northwestern Montana.

“We are committed to celebrating and conserving the beauty and nature of the West, the place we call home,” said Daniel Schear, general manager of High West. “American Prairie is truly one of the most fantastic projects of our time, and it’s been an honor to work alongside their team to protect today’s Western habitats for future generations to come. We invite our community to join in on the movement, too, all while enjoying a little friendly competition and sipping on one of our favorites, American Prairie Bourbon.”

What’s more, one lucky player will win a trip to Park City, Utah — home of High West Distillery.

In the game, players help their pronghorn avatar navigate a series of rudimentary, but deceptively challenging, obstacles and tasks. This includes navigating both manmade and natural hurdles, as well as dashing across the landscape in an effort to hit 61 mph — the pronghorn’s maximum speed.

Prairie Dash takes just a few minutes to complete, but those minutes quickly turn into an hour or more. Believe us, we “tested” the game a number of times to see. And with a lowball of bourbon, the stakes, excitement, and frustrations would only feel higher.

The game is free to play and will only stick around for the month of June. In July, after the game closes, High West will select one player to receive a personalized visit to Park City.

Best of all, every time you play, you help support America’s grassland ecosystems. Check it out and enter to win here.
