We found a favorite sleeping pad among the latest REI end-of-season sale: Sea to Summit’s Comfort Plus Insulated Pad.
We’ve been familiar with the Comfort Plus for years. Last year, we ranked it the best overall backpacking sleeping pad in our annual testing. Our tester really liked how the double air chambers gave the lightweight pad “a built-in redundancy.”
Any style of camper should consider picking up this sleeping pad while it’s 44% off. Be sure to add it to your cart to see the extra discount.

The two chambers affect how it sleeps and how it fills. You can fill the bottom air chamber to stand up against the ground and use less air in the upper chamber for a softer sleeping surface.
“You can inflate it by blowing, which is very easy to do and doesn’t take many breaths to fill,” our reviewer said. “Or you can use the pump bag that comes integrated in the stuff sack. Either way, it’s fast and easy to fill this pad.”
Some key specs: The Comfort Plus Insulated Pad weighs 2 pounds 4 ounces and is 2.5 inches thick. It packs down to 5 x 9 inches. It has an R-value of 5, which is rated for cold-weather camping.
The 40-denier ripstop nylon fabric is durable and treated with an antimicrobial coating so it doesn’t get irreprably funky.
One thing our reviewer didn’t love about the Comfort Plus, relative to other sleeping pads, was the price. Well, now that has been slashed nearly in half. Don’t sleep on this deal — until after you buy it.
Take note, there are other versions in the Comfort line that are also on sale. Check out this lightweight insulated pad and the uninsulated mummy pad to see if they better suit your needs.
Through March 9, REI is selling Comfort Plus sleeping pad for $113. Just add it to your cart to see the best discount.
