Jackery Rolls Out Its Most Powerful Solar Generator Yet

The Jackery Solar Generator 3000 Pro is designed to power an RV or trailer yet stays mobile thanks to its off-road wheels and luggage-style handle.

This mobile solar generator cranks enough wattage to power 10 devices (big and small) simultaneously, according to Jackery.

The Jackery Solar Generator 3000 Pro is a combo of the new Jackery Explorer 3000 Pro power station and the brand’s SolarSaga solar panels. It has a 3,024Wh capacity, but, working continuously, Jackery says it can crank out 8,500 Wh of energy.

According to the brand, the Jackery Explorer 3000 Pro portable power station can provide hours of power on its own and then recharge via a wall outlet in 2.4 hours. Using six of the brand’s solar panels, the Jackery Solar Generator 3000 Pro is designed to recharge via solar energy in less than 4 hours — no wall outlet or civilization needed.

A 3,000W battery comes with some heft. The station weighs 62 pounds, so Jackery gave it off-road wheels and a handle like those of luggage or large coolers. Look around at other power stations and you’ll find many with similar weights don’t claim the same power output.

Jackery Solar Generator 3000 Pro

  • 3,024Wh capacity
  • 10 power ports
  • 2.4-hour wall charge (3- to 4-hour solar charge with 6 panels)
  • 62 lbs.
  • Temperature-rated to -4 degrees F
  • Super-Quiet Mode runs at 30 dB or less

The 3000 Pro’s power source is, of course, the sun. Thanks to its solar conversion efficiency of up to 25%, the Jackery Explorer 3000 Pro portable power station works with up to six SolarSaga 200W solar panels (up to 1,200W input) to recharge the station in less than 4 hours. As part of the existing line, the SolarSaga 200W panels work with other power stations.

Each solar panel comes with three kickstands for setup and has handles on each end. They also have magnetic pads to help the panels stay folded while carrying or storing them.

The power station’s telescoping handle is made from an aluminum alloy for leverage. Underneath, the wheels have rubber tread for traction and maneuverability.

Versatile, Portable

At the heart of the generator is the Jackery Explorer 3000 Pro. It’s the brand’s largest portable power station and stores power drawn from solar panels, wall outlets, and other inputs.

The power station’s 10 ports include four AC outlets, a 12V car charge outlet, two USB-C fast-charging ports, two USB-A (Quick Charge 3.0) ports, and a 30A RV plug.

As a home backup, the brand estimates that the generator 3000 Pro can provide backup power for five days. Just running a refrigerator for a few days can provide peace of mind and savings from food spoilage.

Notably, the generator works in cold environments with a reported temperature rating down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit. Its specs claim it runs at only 30 dB in silent mode, which is equivalent to whispering.

Control & Safety

The station has an LCD display to monitor input and output levels, and battery levels can be monitored from the brand’s app using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The app even lets you control some plugged-in devices.

The brand highlights the generator’s Quiet Canyon Cooling System. It uses nine temperature sensors to determine its high-temperature position. Meanwhile, Jackery says the main heat-generating components (cells and inverters) include an independent air duct design for precise temperature monitoring, as well as and variable speed fans that can adjust in response to temperature fluctuations. The brand cites a 30% improvement in heat dissipation that helps it run quieter.

Similarly, the power station’s “high-precision” chip is designed to juggle the demand of multiple devices, which reduces the likelihood of power surges or overheating that can damage attached devices or the battery itself.

Who’s It For?

From lighting up your campsite to charging your daily electronics, Jackery’s Solar Generator 3000 Pro has a wide range of uses.

Anyone who sets up a campsite or home off the grid for extended periods can enjoy this rechargeable power station. It’s an option for bringing power to your van, workshop, or other outdoor settings.

Of course, it’s also an option for backup power in a home power outage. And the brand claims it’s as quiet as a whisper and simple to recharge.

Jackery makes smaller power stations and generators, but if you’ve ever felt their output was limited, the Jackery Solar Generator 3000 Pro may be the solution. You’ll have power wherever you wheel it.
