Starting Nov. 1, Mammut will offer Avalanche Safety Week, a 5-day online series. Alpine and wilderness safety experts will cover essential survival topics, share safety tips, and answer questions from participants.

It’s tipping into winter here in the Northern Hemisphere — time for backcountry skiing across fresh mountainside pow. But with great reward comes significant risk.

The past year’s influx of newcomers to the outdoors brings with it a heightened need for broader safety awareness. That’s precisely why Mammut will offer a whole week of comprehensive avalanche safety classes from Nov. 1 to Nov. 5.

As an online education series, Avalanche Safety Week will expand on Mammut’s extensive digital library of mountaineering and skiing safety tips and measures. But this time there’s the opportunity for active, regular participant engagement.

Whether you’re a seasoned industry pro or new to winter sports, Mammut promises to deliver a qualified, practical, educational week about how to stay safe during avalanche season. Each day, experts will host a 2-hour-long class. Registration is free and open to anyone.

Check out the 2021 Avalanche Safety Week schedule, learn more about the speakers, and register over at Mammut.
