It was a good week in Utah and the Outdoor Retailer trade show for the Gear Junkie crew. We’re back home in Minnesota (and other locales) now and trying to wrap our heads around the experience. My extracurriculars at the OR Show this year included backcountry skiing (in Big Cottonwood Canyon’s USA Bowl), lift skiing (Solitude Resort), 10 inches of powder, dinner in a mountain yurt, concerts (including Grace Potter and Brett Dennen!) + drinks with world-famous climber Reinhold Messner, an interview with polar explorer Eric Larsen, a few poses with the YogaSlackers, sushi, a nighttime urban hike up Ensign Peak in SLC for a sick view. . . oh, and LOTS of gear demos throughout the five days. My top gear picks start here. See below for some “action shots” from the event. Great time in Utah this year. See you all next time! —Stephen Regenold
