16 Ski Resorts Opening This Week: Where to Ski in the West and East

The 2021-2022 winter season is just getting started. Here’s where to get your snow fix with the latest resorts opening this week.

If you love to ski or snowboard, at some point in your lifetime it’s worth checking out the excitement of a resort’s opening day. And if you are a lucky holder of one of the many multi-resort passes out there, that means you’ve got lots of options on where.

And this week, it’s not just one or two resorts opening — it’s 16. Here are the latest ski resorts across the West, Rocky Mountains, and East that are opening for the season:

West Coast & Rocky Mountains Resort Opening Dates

Nov. 17: Winter Park (CO)

Nov. 19: Heavenly (CA), Northstar (CA), Park City (UT), Eldora Mountain (CO)

Nov. 20: Brighton (UT), Alta Ski Resort (UT)

Nov. 22: Copper Mountain (CO)

Nov. 24: Beaver Creek (CO), Crested Butte (CO)

Midwest & East Coast Resort Opening Dates

Nov. 19: Afton Alps (MN), Hunter (NY), Mt. Snow (VT), Stowe (VT), Wildcat (NH)

Nov. 20: Okemo (VT)

These resorts join big-name resorts like Keystone Resort, Mammoth Mountain, and Killington Resort that are already open for skiing and riding this season.
