Michelle Parker, a professional athlete, fierce rival, and leader in women’s freeskiing, is an impressive watch in this excerpt from the Teton Gravity Research film team.
“Magic Hour” isn’t just an hour before sunset and sunrise — it’s also a collection of special moments. Teton Gravity Research’s annual snow film, “Magic Hour,” with athlete edits, compiles athletes’ experiences in the most jaw-dropping locations.
In this clip, you’ll watch Michelle Parker experience epic runs in Alaska. Parker transitioned from slopestyle competitions to backcountry and big-mountain skiing at the age of 15. She then competed in the X Games and Red Bull Cold Rush before entering the film industry. So it’s no surprise that she’s one to keep an eye on.
The film will showcase several athletes, including Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Parkin Costain, Amy Jane David, and, of course, Michelle Parker.
For Parker, “Magic Hour is like when all the stars align and you feel right in your body and your mind and you’re standing up there in these beautiful mountains and the light’s perfect and it’s go time and everything comes together.”
Don’t worry if you missed the world premiere on Sept. 17. It’s not too late to purchase tickets and view the entire production on tour.
