‘The Patriarch’ is an epic, cliffy ski line that runs down Montana’s great Glacier Peak.

In episode 36 of Cody Townsend’s The FIFTY series, ski mo experts Jim Morrison, Hilaree Nelson, and Townsend himself take on the dangerous route in subzero temps.

Drawing on their alpine wisdom, the trio skins 6 miles out to the peak, climbs 2,000 vertical meters, then rappels and skis down some of the most technical terrain south of Canada (specifically, Montana).

See what it takes to fire “The Patriarch” — all 7,270 vertical feet of it in The FIFTY’s final line in the lower 48.
