My days are most often spent outdoors, whether that is hiking and backpacking in the Cascades of Washington State or leading a trail crew to repair and restore backcountry infrastructure and ensure access for all. Since my long-distance hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, I’ve obsessed over the little details related to backpacking and hiking equipment, and if the equipment I’m testing doesn’t get a good workout on the trails I take it on for fun, it certainly does on the trails I build.
