A Word From Matthew Scott

I’ve spent the past 15 years immersed in the world of overland travel and expedition vehicles, testing gear in some of the most remote and challenging environments on the planet. My journey began in a pint-sized race car at the age of five, igniting a lifelong passion for automotive adventure that hasn’t wavered. Over the years, I’ve channeled that passion into evaluating vehicles and gear for their real-world performance, offering insights to those who share my enthusiasm for exploration.

Beyond writing, I’ve launched a successful business in the overland and adventure industry, specializing in importing innovative products from Australia and South Africa. My personal interests include vehicle-based international travel, open-wheel and prototype race cars, photography, camping, and pushing off-road vehicles to their limits. Whether it’s exploring Arizona’s rugged backcountry or embarking on extended expeditions abroad, I’m always chasing the next adventure.
