Strider Sport Balance Bike
Two small wheels, a 12-inch frame, a seat, and no pedals… the Strider push-bike is made for tiny kids. It’s a great alternative to a bike with training wheels. Before he or she is required to learn to pedal, they learn to balance on the Strider bike.
We’ve used Striders with three of our children so far. They love to scoot around on sidewalks and can keep up with pedal-equipped family or friends. The balance comes naturally as the kids are low to the ground.
Soft urethane handles with protective ends keep the kids safer if they crash. And the tires, made of an EVA polymer industrial foam, cannot pop. $119, www.striderbikes.com
