The Expedition Overland crew have left their mark on the overland world, traveling to 16 countries and 12 states, and building more than a dozen expedition-ready vehicles.
Now they’re back with “The Last Frontier,” a new video series that has a seven-person Expedition Overland (XOverland) crew driving three overlanding Toyotas and an off-road trailer into the Alaskan wilderness. This time, XOverland founder Clay Croft brings his 16-year-old son, Cyrus, along as part of the team.

The five-episode series starts with a look at XOverland’s first campsite and the vehicles the team has brought along for the adventure. These include a pair of brand-new Toyota Tacoma pickups, a 2021 called Atigun, a 2020 called Raven, a 2015 4Runner known as Clone (because it’s a copy of a previous build the brand has done), and an X3 Patriot Camper.
Though the builds are thorough enough to deserve in-depth videos of their own, the first video in the series showcases mods like Atigun’s Icon suspension, General tires, regeared differentials, and CBI skidplates and bumpers. Chainsaws, solar panels, a fridge, and a gun rack are a few of the basics found in the PCOR tray bed, which has replaced the standard truck bed.
