Announced today, Colorado-based SkiLogik will produce a limited run of Grateful Dead skis. “The Dead has always been a huge source of inspiration for me,” said David Mazzarella, SkiLogik’s founder and ski designer.
The company will add the Grateful Dead graphics to any of its 41 models. Only 420 pairs are being made in total.

You get the Dead aesthetic and your initials inlaid on the tail for $1,200.
Like other SkiLogik skis, the Grateful Dead artwork is inlaid with natural wood and mother of pearl. “No two pairs of our skis are exactly the same,” Mazzarella said.
The Breckenridge, Colorado, company will also give away a pair (number 420 of the batch) to a lucky fan on SkiLogik’s Facebook page.
Each pair sold will be numbered chronographically according to order placement and personalized with up to six letters. Just enough to spell out “Ripple” or “Bertha” if your own initials just won’t do.
