When it comes to rock climbing, Stefano Ghisolfi and Adam Ondra are about as elite as it gets.

Stefano Ghisolfi and Adam Ondra are not only two of the best sport climbers of all time, but they’re also career-long competitors. Apart from their memorable 2020 Tokyo Olympics appearances, the Italian and Czech athletes are frequent podium-finishers at IFSC World Cup events. These international competitions garner plenty of media coverage.

But climbing outside is different. It’s more personal, methodical, and can be far more intense than climbing on plastic in a fully controlled environment.

So, when some of the most prolific 5.15+ climbers like Stefano Ghisolfi and Adam Ondra rally at a world-class crag to send some of the most challenging routes in the world, we pay attention.

Filmed this season in Arco, Italy, the 26th entry to Ghisolfi’s “Climbing Diaries” video series shows us what it looks like when diehard athletes gun for the redpoint. Phenomenal views, projecting wisdom, and a megadose of psych are all on the menu.
