The updates to the Moots Routt RSL bike ($8,501 and up for builds) include increased tire clearance (up to 45mm tires), and new gravel-wide drivetrains from Shimano or SRAM. Moots also added wider bars and shorter stems, and it shortened the head tube angle. The Routt RSL has flat-mounted disc brakes, a 3D-printed flat-mount dropout, and a few other fun features.
OtterBox Fast Charge Power Bank
The OtterBox Fast Charge ($35 and up) is a durable battery pack that can charge your device up to 3.5 times faster than a standard power bank (it delivers up to 18W). The Fast Charge has both USB-A and USB-C ports so you can charge multiple devices, an LED power indicator, and an included USB-A to USB-C cable for recharging.
Pirelli Scorpion E-MTB Tires
Pirelli’s new Scorpion E-MTB Tires ($79) come in three models for riding: M, R, and S (mixed, rear-specific, and soft terrain). While the tires will work across many bikes, the S-series is specific to E-MTBs. The Scorpion tires have medium- to widely spaced treads, are tubeless-ready, and have Pirelli’s HyperWALL technology to provide stability and prevent pinch-flats. The tires weigh between 1,200 and 1,330 grams.
Rapha Performance Sunglasses
Rapha’s new line of shades includes the Rapha Classic Sunglasses ($125), which are made with injection-molded Grilamid and interchangeable hydrophobic lenses. They come in two options for Visible Light Transmission between 10-20%. For comfort while riding, the sunglasses have a fitted wraparound style, rubber arm grippers, and adjustable nose pieces.
BRAVE Foods Overnight Oats
Trail- and travel-friendly, BRAVE’s Overnight Oats ($4.50/meal) are made with a high-protein blend of nuts, seeds, oats, and dried fruit. Each meal — they come in three flavors — has 410-460 calories and serves up 20 grams of protein to keep you fueled and full. And they work hot or cold, depending on how you like your breakfast. Our favorite flavor in taste testing was the Apple Spice.
HOKA ONE ONE Clifton Edge
HOKA’s Clifton Edge ($160) road-running shoe has some major changes compared to the first Clifton model launched in 2014. The Clifton Edge has HOKA’s lightest foam yet in the midsole and very extended heel (designed for smoother heel-to-toe transitions). It has a rubberized EVA outsole, an aggressive rocker, and a 5mm drop. Available for men and women.
Windeler Magnetic Multitools
Windeler Multitools ($50 and up) are unique new EDCs that use magnetics and titanium to create a modular multitool system. The “tool” has no body — instead, it uses high-strength neodymium magnets to stack and combine tools in different ways. Windeler uniquely offers sport-specific tools like a wax stripper for surfing and a valve and spoke tool for biking, in addition to things like hexes, a bottle opener, a knife, and more.
UTTy Gear Organizer
The UTTy ($35) is a portable gear management system that hangs vertically. It uses webbing, clamps, and hooks to hold and hang gear. The UTTy is designed as a way to organize outdoor and sports gear that doesn’t take up too much space. The UTTy weighs 5.4 ounces, and it can be used for storage or to dry out wet gear. We’ve been testing a few and have been impressed with the variety of gear it can hang.
Janji Running Middle Short
Janji’s Middle Short ($58-60) has a new shell material for noticeably better comfort on the move. The short (available for men and women) is made with AFO: an ultralight, four-way stretch woven fabric for high breathability. The shorts come in a 3-inch length for women and 5-inch for men. They have a zip pocket and interior brief liner. They also come in Janji’s new limited color line: Midnight plaid.
