Kristin Shaw

Kristin Shaw is a freelance writer in both the automotive and aviation worlds. She’s a big fan of anything car-related and calls on her technology background on the corporate side to explain engineering and high-tech concepts. Now living in her sixth state (New Jersey, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Georgia, and currently, Texas), she is thrilled that working from home is now mainstream. Fun fact: the first car she ever reviewed was a Ferrari F430. Based in Austin, Texas, Shaw got her motorcycle license three years ago, learned how to ski this year, and plans to compete in more off-road competitions after she tackles the Rebelle Rally in 2022.

A Word from Kristin Shaw

I’ve known I would be a writer since I was a kid, so marrying my love of words with my affection for cars is everything I ever dreamed about.

I convinced an exotic car rental company to let me drive a Ferrari F430 in exchange for some local coverage, and from there I started picking up reviews piece by piece. Ultimately, it led me to this awesome career.

My personal interests include baseball, cars, trucks, off-roading, hiking, music, and learning new things.
