Known for its racks, cargo boxes, and luggage, Thule furthers its mission to help you ‘transport anything you care for safely, easily, and in style’ with new packs aimed at cyclists.
If you’re like me, you have arm- and knee-warmers, jersey, bibs, vest, and helmet all stashed in their rightful place, ready for any cycling scenario. Keeping your kit in order makes it easy to find all your gear the night before the big ride.
And now Thule made this easier. Its latest product, the RoundTrip Bike Duffel 55L, keeps gear organized for avid riders. With dedicated storage for your helmet, shoes, clothing, seasonal accessories, tools, and dirty clothes, you can keep this bag packed and ready from one ride to the next.
Thule RoundTrip Bike Duffel
The inside of the RoundTrip Bike Duffel resembles a camera case with 20 compartments to manage everything from arm-warmers to chamois butter. Thule lists the full capacity at 55 L (about 3-5 days’ worth of gear). But this duffel is all about organization.
A dedicated shoe pocket carries your cleats in a tarpaulin-lined compartment to protect your other gear and allow easy cleaning. Opposite the shoe pocket sits a helmet compartment, large enough to accommodate road or trail styles.
In addition to the primary compartment’s dividers, the pack’s large, U-shaped lid has a compartment for dirty laundry. There’s also an exterior pocket for keys, wallet, or GPS. And a larger front pocket holds nutrition and tools.
The RoundTrip duffel sports handles and a removable shoulder strap for side or crossbody carriage. Personally, to avoid hunting down and reorganizing your kit, I could see going straight from the laundry room to the duffel.
