Cat Footwear Highbury — Because of sizing availability we were unable to test the Cat Footwear hiking boot. But we got the Highbury in house for a look anyway. Branded via a license from Caterpillar Inc. (a manufacturer of earthmoving equipment) Cat Footwear boots are sold by Wolverine Worldwide Inc. The Highbury, which is not available until August, is lighter and more flexible than it looks, despite the work-boot aesthetic.
Its leather upper is handsome, and a cushy foam in the midsole and heel should offer a nice ride on a rough trail. We will test the Highbury once correct sizing is available, so stay tuned. Weight: 16.5 oz. (per boot, men’s size 9); MSRP: $125; More info/buy now
