Pastrana and Deegan Party Like It’s 2003 in 2024 Can-Am Maverick Rs

Travis Pastrana, Brian Deegan, and a soundtrack by The Offspring. No, it’s not the 2003 X Games. It’s the latest dollar bet between the two icons, rocking a pair of Can-Am Maverick R UTVs to find out who is the fastest.

Pastrana and Deegan have been competing for decades — on dirt bikes, in trophy trucks, in rally cars, and just about anything else they can find. This latest pair of videos put them into a pair of brand-new Can-Am models. And while the title hints they’re getting older, they can still put on a great show.

Fast Old Dogs, Fast New Tricks

The series is called “With Age Comes a Cage.” They’re not as young as they used to be, which makes the 2024 Maverick R‘s rollover protection system a more comforting place to be than sitting exposed on a dirt bike. Even mild bumps don’t mend as quickly when you’re on the other side of 40.

But old doesn’t mean slow. The two legends prove that when they face off at Ocotillo Wells, Calif., in a pair of Maverick Rs. The 2024 Can-Am Maverick R makes 240 horsepower from its turbocharged three-cylinder engine, making it the most powerful side-by-side on the market.

Pastrana and Deegan use every one of those horses, firing through the desert, climbing rocks, and jumping over anything they can. It’s just what they do.

Who Wins Pastrana and Deegan Can-Am Race?

Pastrana’s channel sets the video to some classic Offspring. Deegan’s own channel has a slightly different version of the race with an Iron Maiden soundtrack if that’s more your speed. Either way, this is some solid desert driving action.

So who wins, and who owes who that dollar? It depends, as always, on who you ask.
