Ski and snowboard photographers might drool after seeing the specs on Mountainsmith’s latest Borealis AT backpack. The 1,600-cubic-inch backpack has enough room to store a shell, mid layer, avalanche safety gear and some food. Plus, it can cradle a full camera kit — dSLR body, a couple lenses, and a flash or two.
The Borealis’ padded camera compartment, located in a separated zipper compartment at the bottom of the pack, has dividers to keep anything from banging together in the backcountry.
It has ski and snowboard carry straps on the outside and a tripod carry strap. It also has a padded, stowable wasit belt, a padded laptop compartment and a removable storm cover.
