Expect boho-chalet rooms, climbing and skating facilities, gear shops, and eclectic local art.
Twenty years ago, evo was a small-scale shlepper of specialty outdoor equipment. Several branchings off and 600 employees later, the multifarious company will try its hand as an urban adventure hotelier.
Get out your planners, because as of Feb. 1, the evo Hotel will be open for business. Here’s what we know about this adventure hotel so far.
evo Hotel: Adventures & Campus SLC
The company’s flagship hotel and urban resort lies within Salt Lake City’s Granary District, mere minutes from the closest trails, slopes, and climbing areas.
On evo grounds, guests will find a bevy of activities and art.
Hotel & Guest Rooms
At 50 guest rooms, the hotel borders on boutique. Each room will feature the work of a different artist, and patrons can select from four general motifs:
- Boulder: Retro, industrial vibes, and located above the hotel’s climbing gym
- Bunk: Minimalist but cush, with space for the crew
- Rafter: Cozy, lush, and located high above any bustle
- Wasatch: Private patio with views of the Wasatch Range

Pricing for the stays starts at $126 for the basic single-bed room and goes up to $160 for the six-bunk suite.
Campus Salt Lake Activities & Amenities
But outside the door is where adventure awaits, right? Lodging is only one component of the resort’s 100,000-square-foot campus.
Guests of the hotel have access to all Campus Salt Lake amenities, including (but not limited) to:
- All Together skatepark
- Bouldering Project climbing gym (opening April 2022)
- evo Salt Lake gear shop
- Level Nine Sports
Soon, evo will open the Market Hall, which will provide space for a handful of additional TBD options.
For a company that, purportedly, aims to “bring all things relevant to [its] community into one creative space,” the evo Hotel strikes me as unapologetically on-brand.
