France’s Nouria Newman is perhaps the most gifted kayaker of her time. A new film by Red Bull documents her journey to clinch a world record.

Nouria Newman, young as she is, has embarked on a long lifetime’s worth of epic whitewater adventures. From claiming numerous podiums to seeing through countless expeditions on remote waterways, she has established herself as a leader in guts and glory alike.

Recently, Red Bull’s film crew followed the 30-year-old paddler as she claimed the astonishing first descent of Pucunco falls in Ecuador. The feat forever inked Newman’s name in the history of whitewater kayaking as the first woman to drop a 100-plus-foot waterfall.
