Most guys will wear just about any base layer that’s functional. But many women who play outdoors want the first layer next to their skin to be comfortable, functional and maybe even fashionable. At least Snow Angel, a company in El Granada, Calif., thinks so.
The company, founded in 1998, came into being because “most of the thermal underwear available in stores was either bulky ill-fitting versions of men’s garments, or else pretty and feminine but without the technical properties and durability you need for serious sports use,” said founder Pamela Moyce.
Moyce decided to create something she wanted to wear: a base layer that was functional, fashionable and feminine. The result is Snow Angel, which offers a line of pieces that range from functional to sexy. Materials used include polyester, spandex, cashmere, nylon, and modal.
With nice fabrics and flattering cuts, women who want something that’s both ‘core but femme, will want to check the company out. www.snow-angel.com
